Meet Our Managing Director: Richard Lole
Richard Lole is the founder and Managing Director of Lole Consulting Ltd. With over 30 years of experience across
farming, banking, government, and consultancy, Richard has developed a deep understanding of the issues facing the
business and agricultural sector. His career includes advising large-scale dairy farms and businesses, developing
agricultural policy for banks, governments and large corporates and championing sustainability through emissions
reductions.
Richard's Experience:
Worked with businesses of all sizes on strategic planning, investment appraisal, team development and succession
planning.
Worked with large and small food processing businesses to stabilise and grow their businesses.
Supported large UK and Hungarian dairy farms to achieve substantial growth and profitability.
Brought together stakeholders from farming, government, and finance to tackle issues like industry policy, emissions, regulatory compliance and business succession.
Advised on policy interpretation and business strategy at Barclays Bank, helping farming clients grow their
businesses, whilst navigating market challenges like the Foot and Mouth outbreak.
Played a key role in creating and implementing the Isle of Man’s Climate Change Bill, Tenancy Legislation and
Agricultural & Fisheries policy frameworks – whilst leading a team of 220 as CEO of the Department of
Environment, Food & Agriculture.
